Positioning: Compact controls and display controls

Positioning controllers, display controllers, compact controllers for drive technology and automation tasks:

Find the right positioning system for your application—now at esitron!

Precise motion sequences are not an option in modern production and special-purpose machine automation—they are a prerequisite. Whether it’s a rotary table, indexing unit, feed axis, or linear transfer motion—a positioning controller ensures that drives move to the correct position in a repeatable, safe, and efficient manner. esitron offers a comprehensive portfolio of compact and display-based controllers for this purpose, ranging from simple single-axis systems to full-featured onboard PLCs with touch panels.

The Right Device for Every Level of Complexity

Not every application requires a programmable PLC—and not every system can make do with a fixed-configuration controller. That’s why the esitron portfolio specifically includes a variety of operating concepts.
Preconfigured and ready for immediate use:
The CPS5, CPS20, and CDS22 come ready to use right out of the box and feature menu-driven operation—programming knowledge is expressly not required. The CPS5 handles simple high-speed/low-speed positioning tasks and controls not only electric drives but also pneumatic and hydraulic systems. The CPS20 is a complete single-axis positioning controller that combines position control, a control panel, and ready-to-use operating software in a single unit. The CDS22 goes a step further and additionally integrates a servo controller for AC servomotors up to 5.5 Nm—all in a desktop enclosure with a 230-V connection.

Freely programmable for multiple axes:

The CPS300 is a CNC positioning controller for 1 to 6 axes featuring user-friendly plain-text programming and power-fail-safe program storage. Digital inputs and outputs enable direct integration into PLC sequences. It is the classic choice for applications involving repetitive motion sequences, indexing devices, or multiple synchronously controlled axes.

Multi-axis positioning for hydraulic and electric drives:

The MP100 is a control cabinet module for 1 to 4 synchronizable axes and is specifically designed for both electric and hydraulic drives—including position-pressure controllers.

With integrated 7-inch touch panel: CPS500 and CPS700

For those looking to combine control, operation, visualization, and I/O in a single device, the CPS500 and CPS700 onboard PLC systems offer a modern all-in-one solution. Both devices feature a 7-inch widescreen touch panel and are programmed using CoDeSys in accordance with IEC 61131-3—the established standard for industrial PLC programming. A galvanically isolated CANopen master interface enables easy connection of decentralized drive modules. An integrated web server enables remote access and visualization over the network without the need for additional infrastructure.
The difference between the two: The CPS500 offers 10 digital inputs, 8 digital outputs, and 2 analog inputs and outputs each, and is connected via Ethernet, RS232, CANopen, and USB. The CPS700 has a more compact design and comes with 4 digital I/O channels each, as well as analog inputs with 12-bit resolution—ideal for applications where space is at a premium and the number of connections is sufficient.

Drive-Independent—From Electric to Hydraulic

A distinctive feature of the esitron positioning portfolio is its drive versatility: Several controllers are explicitly not limited to electric servo drives. The CPS5 directly controls pneumatic and hydraulic actuators, the CPS300 is designed for a wide variety of drive types, and the MP100 offers specialized functions for hydraulic drives, including stroke-pressure control. This makes esitron positioning controllers a versatile tool, even in systems where different drive technologies are used in combination.
